Borax is a readily-available laundry product that’s excellent for killing roaches. For best results, combine equal parts borax and white table sugar. When the roaches consume the borax, it will dehydrate them and kill them rapidly. Place this appetizer in a shallow dish anywhere you’ve noticed roach activity.

How to Get Rid of Roaches
As you go along, make sure you fix any leaks or drips that leave behind standing water. Seal cracks and crevices along windows, doors, and utility pipes with caulk or other sealants to prevent roaches from getting in. Switch to a trash can with a tight-fitting lid for food waste.
Always check to see how your application is withstanding the elements or the home. Reapply often and for as long as you see roaches within the home. You’ll want to do this on a warm, sunny day when there is little breeze outside. DE is not as effective, and will usually not work at all, when it is already wet. If you notice that it’s rained recently, you’ll need to reapply around the foundation. There are wet application techniques, too, but these wet techniques rarely work.

As mentioned above, the organic foodwill attract these roaches and so you should do anything sweet! This way uses sugar to trap them, but borax is used to remove them! Borax can be considered as effective as the spray used by a commercial exterminator.

Instead, you can sprinkle borax dust around the container you’ve put the bait in so the roaches will walk through it.
If you have a pond in your yard, consider investing in a couple amphibians. Frogs and toads love to eat insects and will act as a natural defense against all sorts of nasty bugs. Just make sure later you also don’t want to get rid of frogs themselves.
If you have gaps and/or holes that roaches can easily walk through, you may kill loads of cockroaches only to have more to replace the dead. Limiting their ability to reproduce is one of the best ways to get rid of your infestation. Their reasons for entering a home just make sense to the bug at the time, but generally it revolves around food and water sources.
